I grew up on a dairy farm nestled in rural Nova Scotia. Upon completing my education at Acadia University in Wolfville, I began teaching Physical Education in the Colchester & East Hants region. I then pursued a higher education, earning a Masters Degree in Curriculum Education. Eventually, I ascended to the role of Principal, overseeing both Elementary and Junior High schools, a position I held until my retirement in 2015. Retirement hasn't slowed me down; if anything, I’m busier now! Physical fitness remains an important part of my life and I relish the outdoors, whether tending to my gardens, enjoying walks with my dog, curling or treating myself to a few rounds of golf. In addition to my personal pursuits, I devote part of my time to RWHC, where I've found immense fulfillment in sharing our vision and mission with individuals of all ages throughout the province.
